The Whisper
.........I see her soft lips form a word.
My heart hinged
on the precipice ,
of an abyss,
as I try to ensnare the sound.
A pin dropping,
shatters the silence,
ringing in my ears.
The world around me rushes by.
Somewhere ,
a lone siren wails.
Empty silence,
without the music off her voice
a life devoid of sound.
Enchantment is alive again,
a spark ,
that sets the soul to flame,
of the word left unspoken.
She draws closer,
smiles ,
in her funny little way.
Whispers in my ear,
simply ,
I love you.
