The Waters Flowing
The waters rushing powerfully along
we watch its force so great
blinding us to its full effect
carrying such an awesome weight
At other times it's so peaceful
so it looks to the human eye
but that can be deceiving
within it's depth it will not die
Being brought up in the countryside
the river flowed behind the backyard
always and continually never stopping
it was there always at your guard
Where does it flow to?
one is tempted to ask
to some large ocean somewhere
fulfilling another greater task
So be thankful for our rivers
continually flowing to meet our need
but still always very dangerous
can instantly capture a life so take heed
