The Warlords
The Warlords
Like lightening at night the strike
Slashing and killing with all their might
The whole village being scared left in flight
They set all huts, sheds and houses alight
Those warlords, they scared our lives lowering them from great heights
That day they came and left many maimed
Killing, destroying and punishing is all they aimed
In organized lines, holding and firing guns they aligned
My whole family, mother dad and brothers they killed
Those warlords, they scared our lives lowering them from great heights
In a concentrated, dirty and dangerous camp I lie
On foreigners, strangers and unknown people I rely
By force and using sharp object they removed my eye
With no future, hopeless, lost in unknown and injured I cry
Those warlords, they scared our lives lowering them from great heights
Nations, tribes and religions let’s stop war
As children in camps homeless, rejected and poor we are
Day in day out we cry when suffering
But God in heaven sees and marks you all warlords
His judgment greater than all others will fall on you
Those warlords, they scared our lives lowering them from great heights
