The Waiting Game
The darkness creeps into your soul undetected,
The great day before simply a faded memory.
All the focus is on the deep feeling,
The feeling of waiting to die.
Life does not seem as sweet,
The sunset has lost its colors.
The lightning has lost its thunder,
And all I do is sit and wait.
I pray for answers but see no sign,
Disaster is waiting around every corner.
So I sit and ponder what is my purpose,
Then wait for the end.
Sadness fills my heart and soul,
What kind of life is this.
Knowing you are a waste of space,
That will never become anything.
Now not even able to comprehend,
Being out of my twenties.
For I do not see myself in the future,
So I sit and wait.
