The Village Warrior
As the sun is about to wake up,
the seven-foot warrior digs two graves;
the first grave is for burying the bandit,
while the second grave is for sleeping in it,
to spy on the motionless bandit.
After crossing the Forest of Death,
the warrior was convinced that the bandit
had blinded the gods.
He was afraid that the bandit would cheat death,
and wake up from his deep slumber;
he had to ensure he wouldn’t ever wake up,
until Mother Earth sent ants and worms
to devour his flesh.
He was very certain that nature knew the difference
between life and death……
