The Vagaries of Mind

My mind wanders here and there, It has no bounds or limitations, It keeps on thinking, Various thoughts, Sometimes ridiculous and at times, Crazy and idiotic, It quells my sleep, And bothers my peace, I seek solace in prayer and meditation, Which gives me temporary ease; The erratic thoughts come back, To me, with incessant worries, Which sap my energies, And keep me hankering for serenity.

Great write Jesudason! I entirely relate. I have spent the last two years healing my mind, and my brain. I have heard the best description of worries: praying for what you don't want. I wish you ease of being. ~Maureen
