the unknown poem

Whether or not you fall on your own face
cannot erase what
you thought was the biggest waste
of all you've got
to now replace
and what you're without
is the love you made
with me

What you've chosen
to belong in
didn't bring back all your prose;
petals of flowers to line your doors
As anyone can see you've tripped the line
Surrender, lest you be decieved
by your design
Undo the anchor from yourself
and face the waves of your regressions

I got more out of this reading the second time, especially with the comments below. I am sorry your love is not returned. But pain makes great poems. Emotions exposed and left to absorb the reader. thanks.

I am with Justin....he sort of got to the comment first Ha! That said, I still think part of this theme flew right over my dense head; which doesn't surprise me at all, considering how....dense. my. head. is. Josh, I noticed that you sent me soupmail. Ever since the admin began tinkering around with the site 2 days ago, I cannot open my mail; which is too bad, because I am curious about wot you typed. Thank you for your kind encouragement regarding my amateur writing....I have a long ways to go!

I respect the cathartic element to this write Josh - sometimes it is necessary to surrender our hypocrisy to gain the higher truth, the higher strength - the last two lines contain very mature & therapeutic metaphors - J.A.B. %
