The Unknown
I have walked a long way once
I never thought to see myself at the end
Becoming a past with no more the chance
With only a future ahead without a plan
I took a step back because I fear
Remembering times without memories
Were it too much I am to dear?
Yet a perfect concoction of disharmonies
And I return my footing to the present
Looking back at the hardest to leave behind
I stood aground remembering reasons
Does it matter? From possession I can no longer find
To only venture onward, I dare a step forward
Facing all that life has taught me... the unknown
To have lived, I do not want to take a step backward
Because the future is the way towards my final home
And here I stand my ground
Past, present and future... planned and unplanned
As once more I begin whichever path found
Might I think to see myself at its end?
