The Unbeliever's Song
So you say you know me
You wonder why I can’t believe
So you look down on me
I’m left here in deceit
Why don’t you walk in my shoes
Before you say you know my pain
Before you hate the life I choose
Why don’t you glance at why I’m insane
I’ve seen hunger, I’ve seen thirst
Still trying to decide what’s worse
While you sit in your throne of lies
I’m left here to cry
Why don’t you walk in my shoes
Before you say you know my pain
Before you hate the life I choose
Why don’t you glance at why I’m insane
Forgive me for not believing every word you say
When you don’t even give me the time of day
Maybe you should try to stop living in hypocrisy
And show the love you promised me
Why don’t you walk in my shoes
Before you say you know my pain
Before you hate the life I choose
Why don’t you glance at why I’m insane
