The Ultramarine Sea
"The surge of despair floods the heart, it slowly sinks
as the anchor disappears with you in the depth of sorrow." -by Poet
Through the diaphanous mist
of the frozen dismal night,
you disappeared early before time,
I didn’t know why.
My squally sky fell in torrents of grief,
filled to the brim my hollow heart,
thrust at the bottomless abyss you made,
and the surge of tears flowed there,
formed an ultramarine sea of sorrow in me.
In the middle of the unfinished journey
you chose to take a different path,
made me to see the sunset alone,
I didn’t know why.
As the yearning waves break
in the melancholic blue sea,
on its desolate shore
I stand forlorn in the twilight hours,
feel the ripples of anguished air ruffle me.
From beyond the somber sunset horizon
I hear your distant call
waft across the azure sea,
I don’t know why.
From the indigo depth of my soul
a voice echoes in the sound of silence :
“Wait, the boatman will come when it’s time.”
I’m waiting to sail to be with you
on the other side of the ultramarine sea.
