The Truth About Your God

The truth about your God, Is that he is not superior to you. There is no hierarchy in God, No matter what your institutionalised religion preaches. The truth about your God, Is that he is not a punisher to you. Your mistakes are not seen as condemning, For they are learning points to grow from. The truth about your God, Is that you need not understand him. He is not a single man, For he exists as the Universal Soul. The truth about your God, Is that he is the consensus of our souls. Indeed he is a higher power, Only because a piece of all creates him. The truth about your God, Is that you are just as divine as he. Every this and that holds a piece of life, of him, There is an abundance of knowledge accessible to you because of him. The truth about your God, Is that you are taught about him with fault. There is no definitive answer, For all knowledge is open to interpretation. The truth about your God, Is that he is what you make of him. He is not God, Instead he is Life, Instead he is Knowledge, Instead he is Soul, Instead he is Mind, Instead he is You. Praise God, For he is all of these things, And all of these things, Exist in you. **The question which inspired this poem: "Why is God still God at the end of the day, Creator of Heaven and Earth, creator of all therein, including man (and his Soul) worthy of all praise?"
