The True North Strong and Free

With glowing hearts we see thee rise The true north strong and frigid Have heard our anthem for many long years Prefer somewhere where water is liquid Guess this heart's not really that loyal This winter has done it's job Canada's a wonderful country BUT That's no way to treat this old bod Those Florida natives are all so lucky Except for occasional hurricanes Basking in a hundred and ten degree temps Sure wouldn't hear me complain Maybe I would, it's second nature for us humans To complain about this and that We're never satisfied no matter what's the deal But love to go outside without a hat! © Jack Ellison 2014

Send some folks in Florida a few gallons of maple syrup, and they will gladly send you a few sacks of oranges and grapefruit. Good write Jack.

I sure don't envy you your weather! Today over here we basked in warm (nearly hot) sunshine and some people were brave enough to go swimming, and it's not the end of March yet :) // paul

You and me both! Dragon thinks his knitted Cap is rather fetching! He wants to give this favorite blinged out model to the Smithsonian when he's officially declared a Super Hero!... Grandpa Troll heard him say that... He started laughing and hasn't stopped, yet! It's been more than 2 hours. We called the Rapid Response Turtle Team to bring in the hose! Think Grandpa Troll is stuck in OverDrive Laughter! Happens to Trolls, at times. Usually a bucket of water works, But it's hose time, for him!
