The Trade
You gave me a reflection, I gave you wings,
Both did their part in order to see,
But what you cannot see is the purpose behind it,
And instead of embracing it, you constantly fight it,
If you can only acknowledge the gift that you gave,
The one in return will fly away,
Until you can receive and understand,
That this is all part of a bigger plan,
What you stand for sets you apart,
But what you exchange with one another interwines your hearts,
Together this gives us both direction,
And that's why God placed our hearts together.
