Thank you so much Valsa. When I first wrote the couplets I didn't see any connection between them. They seemed to be straight lines. But, the more I looked at them, they seemed to order themselves into a circle - as you so eloquently say "the circle of life!" I like that image. I think it fits the themes of this poem! Dearest Mala, writing then discovering the flow of the different couplets was in itself a pilgrimage into the world between extremes - a process of the heart and spirit. Amazing writing, dear friend! All the yin and yang dualities you came up with are deep within the human soul and crying out for clarity and resolution, yet we are often required to dwell in between in a "season of gray ambivalence". I just love how you began with nature and worked the arc towards the spiritual and elements of faith. I particularly loved "season of faith’s perseverance" and "the season of anticipation". Or, in the words of one of my favorite poets, "doing valley duty". So blessed to read this new Fave today, and a Giant fist bump for POTD. Touch 'em all!

This poem really was a journey of highs and lows and the journey into the world of the between - that place of growth, struggle, decision and often quiet waiting.
