The Time
We should have taken the time
to look upward and around;
We did too much, it was too
late
To reverse the damage,
close the gate
Simple living, just too complex;
Simple gifts we squandered
away
I hope you take the chance to
see,
To learn from our history
Taste the joy all around,
Take care of the planet
Do what we did not,
We should have taken the time
