I am holding again the tattered boxes of Christmas decorations inherited from my mom and grandma, they are old and fragile and full of memories, I touch each one with love and respect, I have never changed the boxes, they remain ragged as always, as if they were just put away by mom and grandma, so tenderly, and I weep as I hang each ornate Christmas ball and little angel.

Yes, yes. It was always that way in my family, too, & while the older the orna- ment, the more fragile, th more full of memories, almost revered. Hmmm thank you. Such a dear thought. I never considered it that deeply before. Thank you again!

Sally, thank you so much for your comment and compliment, the ornaments took on more importance to me after the death of my grandma and mom, now they are are fragile memories, blessings

oh, such a touching poem. I'm teary-eyed for this poem ignited memories of our boxes of decorations...two of which hold ornaments of those passed. They tell the tale of Christmases past. I love the quote at the beginning. You also ignited the holiday spirit in me. Enjoy your evening, Sara
