The Taste of Tears

THE TASTE OF TEARS I want you to feel this… dinner table perfect meal digested then an attack… undeserved and projected insecurities words that cut to the chore and more… she lets go her tears flow salty rivulets down warm cheeks of defeat the hurt is deep the salt tastes sweet as it touches her tongue of defeat she bounces off the edge of another hurtful night of abuse and feelings of useless worth her life deplete again © Kim Van Breda—15 September 2015
