The Symphony Undone

Say, human, say that you are at a symphony. Which, as you know, you enjoy to the depth of your soul. And, suddenly, the conductor raises his baton And the music STOPS in a heartbeat, inhumanly fast. Frozen in a moment silence heartbreak shock motion as one, the oboes all rise, bow to the audience, and walk off of the stage. Then as a single continued motion the conductor brings down his arm, and music fills the hall once more. And time moves on. How long How long will you sit there eyes wide, heart leadened before you realize that you can never stop hearing the hole left by the missing oboes.
