The Summer Thieves

23 July 2017 8:12 pm The summer thieves Hark! hark the dogs do bark! What lingers out there in the shadows so dark? A pixie a demon some evil without rhyme or reason? Nay but a deer with her fawn of the season. Stealthy they come aware of every noise. Ears like radar turn in deploy. Keen sight and sensitive noses tells them my garden is near. Green beans and salads and flowers over power all fear. We shall dine in silence very finely this night. Out I jump and with a flash of my light her tail waves like a flag as they dash out of sight! I giggle that I have foiled the thieves and made them run away. But when I awake in the morning I find the last laugh they have had because my dear garden was taken before day.
