The Sum of All Fears
One day there was a knock
at the front door,
I opened it up
and was almost floored,
it was all my in-laws
with all their belongings saying,
"Hope you don't mind,
but were moving in
for a couple of months,
on account of us failing
to pay our back rent..
wer'e so blessed
to have you in this family,
you are heaven sent!"
Needless to say,
they eventually took over
and my husband didn't mind,
but after 1 year,
I was about to lose mine!
So I moved out
with some of my stuff,
and am happy although
down on my luck,
as I sing along to a song
on my car radio
and look out my window,
living in a van
down by the meadow.
