The Strong Tree
The Strong Tree
What is a tree without its roots?
It is tall and bold
But broken to touch
It lives with such pride
As it touches the sky
But is shattered
Snow runs down a mountain side
Showing how it cries for the tree
The tree is doomed to die
But, the tree is untroubled
And cheerful in the mind
Looking out at the world
On the winter days that come to him
It will be Spring soon, he says
And life will be born
The tree has strong hope
That it will become free and strong
