The Story Unfolds
A pen slowly blots words upon the paper
As the writers hand glides across
Spreading ink that escapes its nib,
Words forming various shapes
Imagination creating
As a story develops
Ink filling paper from line to line
Taking a journey
Waiting for discovery
As it travels down the page
Until the writer finishes,
A story ready for you and me.
From scratchy quills to ink filled pens
There has always been a way
For the tale to be told,
From century to century across the lands
Ink has surged
From parchment to paper
To spread the word to all willing to hear
Of a story told.
