The Storm

Listening to the quiet, Louder than your silence, Completely torn in shreds, All the lying and defiance. Listening to the screeches, So quiet full of pain and vulgar, Agonizing salt in my wounds, More gentle than the thunder. But lightening struck last night, And all the bats swarmed around me, Biting and severe affliction, Brought me down to my knees. I listened to the quiet, The silence was a protest, Louder than your absence, My heart screaming.. -unexpressed.
