The Steaming Train

A train steamed away tonight
Taking you away from me

I arrive at the station too late
To find you gone with the wind's tale

With your forgotten scarf in my hand
I tried to fly to your new land

wonderful imagery - I like the significance of the scarf in your hand - all that you have left of a departed friend/loved one..

Great title and great write. Sad and evocative images, sara. I love the scarf line. Thanks for your comment. Hope your new year is wonderful. Love and hugs, Christie
