The Spoken Truth

The American stories are tales of misfortunes. Mothers work hard to keep their sons in line. While fathers play around like they're out of their minds. Sisters wearing clothes that's far to revealing. While brothers are sitting on the front porch just dealing. Stories of the man is all that we know. But when it comes from someone who knows all about this flow. What favor do we owe to anyone in this world? When Black kids are getting gunned down every time we turn. We go to school and they ask us what do we want to be? Maybe, a lawyer, a doctor but nah that's not what they see. They don't give us credit for the little who do right. Their to busy seeing whats on the outside. Transactions and fights, child support and domestic violence My where has the integrity and self respect gone for those who used to be in this great fight? Our morals our values have all just disappeared. Do we have any respect for our children with fears? They look at us and shake their heads what a disappointment But do we get justice for the ones that no longer walk with us? Is it so hard to see that our world is falling to pieces? Our founding fathers built all this not to just fall apart. Have we gone blind to the world? If so let me shed some light I'm not just some little girl I watch the news, I go to school, I even go to church, but does that stop all the innocent people that are out getting hurt? Black boys gunned down just cause of their skin Wow is this the type morals that our world has let in. Laws being made but do they follow them? The people who are made to serve and protect are the ones who breaking all of them. So what do we have left to do? Do we stand in hide? My brother My sister it's time to stand and gain some pride. We are not animals that belong outside. We have the same rights to stand up and step inside. Don't fall for the bait stand up for what you believe in. After all we need another helping hand.
