The Spider's Web

Fly freely Completely carefree Not noticing the invisible strand Connecting to something pre-planned Keep flying Something tells you to fly away The path ahead is so inviting Ignore and fall prey Eventually take notice Of the beautiful design The dream is right in reach Too close to resign Something jerks to reality The plan becomes clear See the monstrosity And fall prey to fear Life now in the hands Of something called fate It's already too late
