The Sparrow
The sparrow left her nest in search of food
Doing her very best to care for her brood
Each flight a test as a worm below protrudes
Oh how it is blessed though this worm eludes
But she does not quit, not even given to a sigh
The grass now well lite and affording another try
Eyes now just a slit coming down from on high
A worm having a fit never expecting he'd die
And then back she flew knowing right where to go
And little ones knew in the ruckus they would show
In the late morning dew time to eat is all they know
But soon grow mindful of what mother taught though
For soon it will be their turn the summer season so near
For they will now discern what God will make so clear
Each day they will have to earn but shall not live in fear
The moral here to learn is God holds you even more dear
Matthew 10:31
