The Soul's Precipitate

I walk alone, stone cold The world is hollow heat beneath my feet I am a fading soul Who never knew the eyes of life's defeat And I am what I am Indifference: But a name As I have always been I've know the night, the light The hollow void of life's crimson sunset I've known the beautious sights: Skies, tears that fall just like the world's regret And I am what I am Indifferent Still the same As I have always been And I am what I am As the sun fades away As this light will not stay As the end of the day Falls yet further away Still I never will be What my eyes seem to see I am no tragedy Nothings left within me Nothing there will remain 'Till my life, that bloodstain, Will fall Like red rain To the sea
