The Soul I Sold
The Soul I Sold
In the dream I dreamed last night.
The world was dark and cold.
I had returned back into hell.
To retrieve the soul I sold.
Surrounded by my enemies.
Not one friend did I see.
I tried to save another.
The way that He saved me.
As I looked all around me.
I heard the souls that cried.
My enemy stayed hidden.
From the light I had inside.
Finally I found my soul.
It was lost and all alone.
I laid hold upon it.
And I claimed it as my own.
Throughout my journey into hell.
I was constantly under attack.
They could no longer hurt me.
And I did not fight back.
I found another lying there.
Her heart was broke in two.
I reached out to hold her.
And I carried her out too.
