The Soul

Your smile liquifies my hardened soul Slowly changing it into a candle-shaped desire That steadily burns away to take its toll, As my dream evaporates higher and higher. As it gently reaches the clouds of hope Reverses back into a sweet surrender Falling on your lips in rounded drops of love Carresing your eyes and skin so tender. It gathers strength and rises evan greater To take your fears and hide them far away To take your cry and turn it into laughter So you'll be happy and cheerful every day. Finally gliding down to you in rhythmic flights It wraps itself arround your gentle heart To keep you warm in the long, cold winter nights, Making sure we're never too far apart.
