The Snowflake

Gravid, heavy, puffy and grey Where manifold crystals begin to take form Moisture to ice, patterned and gay Freely released in this bitter snow storm Amazing flecks of white in collusion Settling grimly on the dark below Changing the scene during this fusion Flake upon flake, growing in depth Uniquely hexagonal in shape An unspoiled purity on this frosty wealth And patterns many within each flake Magnified, a sight on which to ponder Complex, symmetry in all its glory Like sparkly diamonds on which to wonder
