The Smile of Life
The smile of life
I saw her coming
her translucent body
wrapped in morning dew
and then with a wisp
and a wave
her slender arms
gathered the wind
and carefully laid
the veil of light
about her shoulders
she then brushed her hair
with the wind that flowed
like a river of light
reflecting sunshine
and in the night, stars,
and with the radiant smile
of a half moon, she bid me –
Adieu.
