Howdy James: I just had to let you know how great your poem is "The Sky Is Crying". Well the sky may have cried, but all the musicians in heaven are smiling. R.I.P. S.R.V.. Peace: Sheol

I wrote a play called remembering janis and I couldn't have explained the loss of a talent any better than you did. Very good work!

Both my son and son-in-law still speak this name constantly with reverance....so I have learned to appreciate the talent he gave the world. Now my little grandson will say" Daddy, let's play like Stevie Ray Vaughn" when he gets out his toy guitar!! A great tribute!!

Oh, my son's favorite guitarist. What an incredible talent who left us way too soon. Lovely tribute. Too sad he is gone and not treating us to more awesome music. Our huge loss. Love, Shar

SRV deserves this fine tribute, James. Your sadness is beautifully conveyed in this powerful write. Although "American Pie" was written about Buddy Holly, many of our greatest musicians/vocalists met their fate in airplane crashes. Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Big Bopper, Ricky Nelson and John Denver are but a few. Well done, James! Love, Carolyn
