The Simple Prayer
For strength dear Lord to battle through the day.
For guidance in the dark I pray.
For knowledge that I might do thy will.
Let your sweet love my humble spirit fill.
In my weakness Lord please make me strong.
In my dumb heart strike a never-ending song.
Lord of the Universe, Master of my will. Keep my poor life yielded in thee still.
Good Jesus, no stronger rock can be. Stand near me Lord that I may lean on thee.
