The Silence of God
I chose to give my heart to the skies
Yes, in between the Lord's hands it lies
Beating and beating fast and loud
Happy and relieved at the solace it has found
I know, many of us do think God does be not
He hears not, He sees not, He answers not
He just lets us be
Trying to keep afloat in our misery
I know, many of us do even renounce faith
Why, science does hold us all by its leash
Life does be a mixture of random particles
Life does never be an occurrence of miracles
Mind you, I do bid you to have faith in my words
God does be, even if He keeps silent
Even if He lets us cry, faced with our own detriment
Even if He remains dumb and deaf to our pleas
God does be, yes, He does
But He shall let us dig our mines with our hoes
For life here in this world is meant to be painful
Life here is meant to be awful
A fallen world it is here, a fallen world for those fallen
For those who did dare to disobey, for those being punished
Such a world it is here, that I like it not
So much that my soul has here not a single rest
Punished and tortured souls we are all
Wonder I if it is here not itself hell
Hell, disguised as a most beautiful planet
Hell, disguised as a most promising planet
Yes, God does hear, you shall see, you shall meet Him
The day your light shall turn dim
You shall meet Him indeed
He shall cure you of everything that did make you bleed!
