Squalling seagulls sip the morning sunshine, They are indeed a lovely sight to see. No ship will sail with that turbulent brine But the seagulls just glide around the quay. They are indeed a lovely sight to see. They plunge into the stormy sea for food But the seagulls just glide around the quay. They are a harbinger of weather crude, They plunge into the stormy sea for food Spying sardines, they eat or be forlorn, They are a harbinger of weather crude, Ominous clouds gather, and me they warn Spying sardines, they eat or be forlorn, No ship will sail with that turbulent brine Ominous clouds gather and me they warn Squalling seagulls sip the morning sunshine

A beautiful Pantoum Victor, seagulls are a splendid sight to see, even though they’re scavengers of the sea… Belle

Nice poem about seagulls, birds with attitude. They often land in my garden, thinking they own the place..small birds scatter....Delice

Victor, despite the difficulty of writing these pantoums, the work that you have produced is excellent. Seagulls are fascinating birds to study. During my most recent trip to Alaska, I was able to witness some with spectacular hues Called Glaucus gull.

These are not so easy to write but you have done a good job. Way to go. They are interesting birds. I haven't seen any in a long time. I need to visit to shore. Thanks for your nice comment on my page. Sara

Beautiful birds Victor, the day we were leaving Reddington beach in Florida I went on the beach with a loaf of bread and held pieces up and they swooped down to take it out of my hand. Tom

Victor, So beautifully described. I can feel the briny air and feel the weather on my eyelashes ! I was transported to a place in time immediately. Seagulls are amazing creatures. I don't know if you have ever read Jonathan Livingston Seagull. The novella is a journey I think you would enjoy. Hugs , Susan :)

They are indeed a flight to watch. I hear the squalling in morning shine--so well invoked in this fine poem.
