The Sacrifice
i hear a mirth shout from the tropics of the savannah
a shout that assaults the serene ambience
i can hear the sound of the drum without ado broke inn
with the visible talisman that the leader holds high
it is the re birth of the afrocentric heritage
the crepuscular lustre has shown up in the sky
and soon the darkness will rule
with a lilt lullaby they head for the deities shrine
yes it is the sacrifice that their credence has it that they'll will and so will their cattle
and it is the sacrifice the human blood will count
in a myriad they return with an idyllic figure
in ineffable silence they march in procession to their roofs
in the gloomy nuit you'll think there never exists a life
so is,was our heritage will stand
they chant ebulliently always
