The Room
4 walls and a roof make this room,
Painted on these walls are Stars and a moon.
One wall however is different,
For it makes people feel insignificant.
All the love that I want to share,
Is held from me without care.
The pain - the agony - the battle - the fight,
Doesn't matter when they read the "black on white."
The lies, the hurt, the children involved,
Almost makes you feel this will never get solved.
A necklace made that says "I love you dad,"
Gives me hope and stops making me feel sad.
The love for my children gives me the strength to go on,
No matter the obstacle, I will always be someone they can count upon.
