The Rollercoaster
I waited in the line until it was my turn.
I was fearful and I wondered, if it was going to burn.
Still you fastened me in tight and then you took my hand.
I closed my eyes and then we rolled in Never-ever-land.
I loved it when we climbed that hill.
My stomach churned as time stood still.
Around the curve, we began to swerve .
I felt so excited, elated and delighted.
We were upside down and round and round.
As we reached the peak I could hardly speak.
Racing ever faster, you became my master.
Then as we slowed down I noticed the tracks.
I don't understand how I fell through the cracks.
It was the ride of my life, that I must say,
but I never went back for ten years and one day.
