The Roads

I close my eyes to quiet my mind from all the day's worries and all the day's grind I think of a time when it was grand where love blossomed over and life was not so bland From inside my thoughts I see her there her beauty shines forth we didn't have a care She was always there wanting me with her love for no other but that love drifted out to sea There is not a day when she doesn't appear with outstretched arms and a loving tear For in the end we needed to take the roads of our choosing and leave behind the family we did not make.
