The River
By the shores of Kittikaca.
Flows the river Minihaha.
To the deep, blue sea going.
To the salty ocean flowing.
Sweeping trees and debris, before.
Urgent. In a passion, down to the shore.
Pounding, rushing, there's no stopping.
Whirlpools and splashing.
Here the mighty water fall.
Sweeping over cliffs, high and tall.
Dropping with a roar.
To the rocks before.
Changing to a smoky mist.
Banks of clouds. cover this.
I cannot breath, I cannot see.
Such fury, could not be.
Just round the bend.
A great lake.
Like an inland sea.
As far as the eye can see.
The water hardly moving.
Deep, still, absorbing.
I rest my soul.
And take a bowl.

Please help me to find a poem
which inspired me to write this.
I used to know it when I was a school boy,
All I can remember is the first two lines are like
these two, also I think it is about "Pocahontas>
