The Rebel In Me

It is what it is, between heartbreak and bliss Where no one will win or be gaining from this. I'm not so naive, swear I won't misbelieve Nothing to see but the heart on my sleeve There's not one illusion I'll prise you away I'm already speaking in cheesy cliches I've lived half my life never feeling this silly Guess I was afraid the emotion would kill me The miles set between us, not only in distance The rebel in me is aroused by resistance For what isn't mine makes me want even more You're inside my skin now, on course for the core You make up the breaths I'm forgetting to breathe Not mine to keep still I'm frightened you'll leave.
