The Queen Turns 90

Happy Birthday to the Queen! A royal celebration Will be the order of the day Within the British nation. From fireworks and gun salutes To Parliamentary praise, Her subjects will commemorate With glorious displays. As for the Queen, she’ll take a walk Then spend the day at home Paying just as much attention To the hoopla as this poem.

Hi ilene, very well written little poem you have written here, as Joyce said I also remember her when I was small, I remember her coronation, we had just immigrated to Australia and my father brought me a Red embossed book commemorating the Coronation, wish I still had it as it would be worth a bit of money now, anyway, love this poem.......take care.......Vera
