The Purple Flowers

The purple flowers, Clasped in your arms, As you embraced them, Was the excitement of the day for my heart. The birds chirped in greeting, As they sat on the branches, To witness your presence. A gift, that you gave The life of immortality, The purple flowers, Now sit silent, As does my heart. With the embrace of a new sun, The eyes eagerly wait for the song of beauty, That you brought with The purple flowers.
