The Promise

Remember the time we made promises? Promises made of glass. Easily broken ones. One that could shatter with some force. I remembered those promises even when we were miles away from each other. I kept those promises safely, In a blanket of love, trust, and commitment. You promised to keep that trust. And you fulfilled it. But then you slowly forgot me and I started to fade from your memory. When you finally remembered that forgotten blanket Of love, you remembered me. But it was too late.
