The Promise

For years my mom was my best friend Through thick and thin I'd helped her mend Her every need and want I'd tend Vowed I'd stay until the end And by her side both day and night Not one moment out of sight Cried and sang and held her tight Praying she would be alright The promise I would not forsake Watching every breath she'd take Fighting through my own heartbreak Of knowledge that she'd never wake The last thing we would ever share She finally knew and was aware The depth of just how much I care How loved she was cause I was there. No better tribute than a devoted daughter tending to her devoted mother. Sigh. The best of the human race. FAVE! Thanks, Sheri. Blessings, Gershon

Thankyou for your kind words as I am having a hard time here in this house alone and those were words that just poured out that night. I appreciate you very much.
