"the Prize Egg"

We all gathered for the Easter egg hunt. Big kids in back little kids in the front. Then all the grown-ups hid the eggs. Under the door all we could see was their leggs. Homemade candy and cookies, cakes and pies There was one golden egg it was the prize. We hunted for as many eggs as could find. All different colors and all different kinds. One for the girls and one for the guys. This is the day we gather to find the prize. Teresa Skyles 03/14/2010 Short but sweet.

Memories of these hunts come flooding back while reading your poem, Teresa. They were such fun! Thanks for reminding me of these delightful days in childhood. Love, Carolyn
