The Preserved Rose

Your Love has become the arid rose, that I preserved from that day, when I was Ill. You brought them then, when your love was most pure Do you remember that warm, delicious glow Summer We lay in the grass soaked with dew staring at the stars, crickets singing as crickets often do We lay hand in hand together.. Do you remember when our love was new? Then fall came upon us Fire Red Leafs, and the harvest moon? I cannot remember a time, where I fell more in love with you? Then Snowflakes glistend and fell from the sky We grew apart, and I didn't understand why Fragile like my heart The Rose broke apart Cold, unforgiving wind, swept it from my grasp never to be seen again Hands shaking as I watch the Geese fly far from here Angry girl your bitterness numbing hyperthermia, will kill your sweetest smile I miss you today, and for always but roses can never grow when winter is so unforgiving and hopeless

Such a soul searching write this is Laura~written with wonderful form and grace, as I have come to expect from you! Although, perhaps its time to move forward--for what life does yesterday truly hold? Can memories breathe? Can memories dream? You are a wonderful writer~let it become your breath, as you now breathe for others--"Happy Holidays Dear, Love Always, John!"~Bye:)

"Hello Beautiful Laura Hew~Happy Holidays Dear Lady!"~What a wonderfully soulful write here--saddened, but straight from the deepened heart! Worth another read, and another read, I believe--just to touch you, as nearly as can be!? "But roses can never grow, when winter is so unforgiving and hopeless"~Oh how so very true~cont~
