The truth of Ephesians 2:8-9 forseen in the context and setting of the OT patriarchs. Our own good works are not adequate to save us.

"Earth has no power of its own, Its power proceeds from My throne. No one, and nothing, share in- The wild flowers of Sharon. Nimrods have no power of their own, Their power proceeds from My throne. No one, and nothing, share in- The budding rod of Aaron. You are not secure in unbelief, For barren souls get no relief. Whatever flowers will surely spoil, No lasting benefit for your toil. I own the places of blessing, Walking by faith means possessing. Conflicts arise along the way, But faith overcomes the dismay. Get off that whitewashed fence, Leaving your place of residence, Journey through the way I will show, Fields where faith will bloom and grow. You do not determine the outcome. Just know that I am never outdone! Greater things than these you'll see, When faith secures the victory! Believers have no power of their own, Their power proceeds from My throne. No one, and nothing, stop them- From possessing My kingdom."
