The Politics of Racism

As if we have invaded their land They resent us being here As if it weren't originally planed They resist our being here As if Gods law wouldn't creep in As if the prophets wouldn't cry sin ! They hate our being here Though it were they that invaded the land Though it were they that brought us in chained hands And now that God has lead us out of Egypt into the Promised Land They stand with spears waiting To pin us against the wall (SPECIFICLY WASHINGTON)

Who are they? And who is us? We are a nation of all creeds, colors nationalities and beliefs. And as Americans, although far from perfect, many of us believe we are working hard to make the world a better place for everyone.

From a dispossessed background myself, I'm with you on this one, my friend. Racism is alive and well, but you and I have the power to kick it in the butt. Breach those gaps with all your might. :)
